My dog had never been to a vet before, so for our first time, I think we definitely picked the right location! Not only was the service exemplary, but the technicians and the vet were kind and explained everything very well! When considering my dog’s care, this place will definitely be #1!
From the first visit, my dogs and I have been treated with the best care. It is clear that Wellington Veterinary Hospital views animals as members of the family, and they provide amazing care and service.
We have recently moved to Wellington and have taken our rescue, Benson, to Wellington Veterinary Hosp. for regular checkups and shots. We have been pleased with the professionalism of the staff and the care that they have given to Benson. You can tell that they love dogs and our pup responded well to that care. We have also boarded Benson there and have been satisfied with the care.
You really can’t ask for something better. My poor Yogi ate a Nerf ball and got it lodged in his intestine. Bad dog owner me noticed his decrease in health, but mistakenly believed it to be due to something else and watched him for a few days. Next thing you know, I brought him in for emergency surgery.
So why 5 stars? They treated me, my wife, and my poor Yogi with maximum care. Like…maximum. They saved my best friend and worked with me on planning it all out, both financially and with the treatment. And it’s clear that both the doctors and techs care. And are great people…..dog people.
Thank you to Wellington Veterinary Hospital for taking care of our injured dog. We had called our regular Veterinary office who said they could not get us in for two days. Called Wellington Veterinary Hospital who got us in right away. They looked him over and gave us options of treatment, no judgement. We are on a fixed income so started with steroids. The next day he had a worse episode biting my husband due to the pain. Once again they got us in within a few hours. We did ex-rays and found he had a back injury. He is being treated with medication at home. The doctor and employees had called our house at least once a day checking on our beloved pet. They have gone above and beyond normal care and we were not even their client to start. This will be where we take our pets from now on and recommend them to everyone else who wants the best care for their pets. Thank you Wellington Veterinary Hospital, the receptionist, the techs and the doctors!

We recently moved to Wellington, and one afternoon after work, I came home to find one of my Daschunds lying on his side screaming in pain. My vet is 30 minutes away and Wellington Animal Hospital is 3 minutes away. I immediately put my dog in the car and went there. As soon as we entered, 2 techs ran out to us, and the front desk ladies were so compassionate and immediately put us in a room. We were seen by Dr. Rich, who helped us and came up with an 8-week plan. I cannot say how grateful we are for the whole staff. We will be getting our other 2 dogs established with them. We are excited to try their doggie daycare, too!
My kitty ate one of his sparkle ball toys and puked most of it up, but I brought him in just to be sure he was okay. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They were super gentle and went out of their way to make sure my kitty was comfortable. He doesn’t handle going to the vet very well, he gets scared. They answered all of my questions and concerns. They even noted on his chart that he needs a few minutes to calm down before examination, so that the next time we come in, the doctor will already be aware. They seemed to actually care about the well-being of my kitty and his comfort, which is much appreciated. Superb service!
